The Orchestra

The orchestra is one of the main features of the method: it is not unusual to see and to hear ten, a hundred or a thousand child violinists playing in unison in the Suzuki experience.
Its contribution to the child’s education is undeniable: children learn to keep together and to co-operate; they collaborate for the common good, leaving their own originality aside in favour of a co-operative spirit; they learn to listen to various voices and dialogue with them, developing the musicality of the whole, and every child learns from more experienced and skilled companions.

In my guitar orchestra all instruments all tuned to the same pitch, following the classic quartet formation.
